Fly Fishing Smoky Mountain National Park Bradley Creek

Straight Fork in Smoky Mountain National Park
Straight Fork in Smoky Mountain National Park

This beautiful stream in the Smoky Mountain National Park is accessible via Cherokee.  Take US441 north out of Cherokee and past the Visitors Center (might stop by there to get a nice map of the Park and, perhaps more precise directions and information.).  Continue north for about 10 minutes or so and you will see a sign that directs you over the Oconoluftee Bridge and into the camping area.  Drive all the way to the end of the camping area and you will find ample parking at the entrance to the trail following the stream up the mountain.  You might even start fishing at the camping area if it isn’t too crowded.  Needless to say there is much peace and quite and a lot of wild trout right up the walking trail.  It is simply wonderful.
