Bryson City

Bryson City –  Fly fishing out of this unique town is a special treat.

Bryson City is the home of the Smoky Mountain Railroad and is loaded with unique shops, upscale restaurant, casual dining, retail food stores and plenty motels.  It is about 30 minutes from Cherokee’s Casino and a short trip up the road to the entrance of the Smoky Mountain National Park…..Deep Creek flows from the park and into Bryson City.  The Tuckaseegee River runs through the town but the majority of the fly fishing for trout on the Tuckaseegee River is near Sylva/Dillsboro.  The Delayed Harvest section of the river (the most fish October to first Saturday in June) runs from highway 107 in Sylva to about 100 yards upstream from the US 441 bridge in Dillsboro.
