The museum has many displays of the heritage of fly fishing in Western NC including the Great Smoky Mountains, past and present legends, fly fishing rods, reels, creels etc of the past and present. There are also displays of the collections of flies by prominent fly tiers, tied specifically for the waters of Western NC.
The museum also conducts classes for fly tying and fly fishing instruction for the beginner and experienced.
Bryson City is a unique town at the foothills of the Smokies which has many eateries, shops and boarding facilities for the Smoky Mountain Railway, which travels along the famous Nantahala River and also visits Dillsboro, NC.
