Sylva NC

Western NC fly fishing guides guide fly fishing trout fishing charters from Sylva, NC. Sylva is pretty much “Trout Central” in regards to proximity to the trout streams of Western North Carolina. Where’s the Tuckaseegee River…..Sylva, NC. See below the driving times to the most popular trout streams.

Sylva’s Main Street has lots of shops and places to eat.  It is a community with great character.  It is typical of a small college town.  Western Carolina University (approximately 10,000 undergraduates) is an awesome  university.  It’s campus has a great feeling and has many amenities you wouldn’t expect for a small school.

There are two motels at the Exit 81 intersection of US441/The Smoky Mountain Expressway (23/74)….Extended Stay Motel and the Holiday Inn Express and a beautiful Best Western on the Tuckaseegee River at the next intersection south on US441.  Consider the Dillsboro Inn,* a bed and breakfast on the Tuckaseegee just to the left of that intersection….tell TJ and Terry I sent you.                                                                                                               The Dillsboro Inn address is actually Dillsboro, pretty much the ‘siamese’ twin of Sylva.
